Ruth Spetter is the co-founder, the public face, and the one pulling the strings behind Holland’s most feared art collective, The Unsafe House. In her own practice she moves between film, performance, and collage, though the individual works rarely exist in isolation.
Just as central to her approach are the situations she constructs around them, temporary environments in which artists, audiences, and collaborators are drawn into a shared experiment. Within these spaces the work is not only presented but actively tested, pushed through friction, uncertainty, and collective decision-making.
